The Anointing of the Spirit.
The Anointing is of the Holy Spirit. When Peter was preaching in the house of Cornelius, he said, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and power….” (Acts 10:38). The connection between the Holy Spirit and the Anointing cannot be ignored.
Apparently, it is the Holy Spirit who gives the Anointing to us. Just like how the sun provides us with light, that is how the Holy Spirit produces the Anointing. Clearly, the sun is not the light. The Holy Spirit is not the anointing. But it is the sun that produces the light, just as the Spirit of the Lord produces the Anointing.
This implies that the depth of your relationship with the Holy Spirit will determine the depth of the Anointing your gifts will carry. *Those who keep on building a deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit are those who will assume an outstanding measure of the oil!*
The Bible says, ‘Whatever a man sows, surely shall he reap’. (Gal 6:7). If you sow a deeper intimacy with the Holy Spirit, you will certainly reap a greater measure of the Anointing. On the other hand, if you sow a shallow relationship, you are not going to manifest greater grace of the oil.
There is always a price to pay. The price has always been the same for everyone. That price has always been our relationship with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will work a working in you when you walk closer with Him. The secret of power is found in our walk with the Holy Spirit.
